EDGE was born as a direct response to the mainstream health and fitness industry, dominated by national chain health and fitness clubs, which simply follow old-style business practices and offer members “a one size fits all approach to fitness”. These clubs offer an overabundance of traditional machines. There is little actual emphasis placed on member involvement or accountability for their desired results, but rather, their focus is on providing basic inductions, often by poorly qualified and unmotivated gym instructors. Using basic and out dated methods of exercise, usually an endless series of repetitious, often boring ineffective exercises, promoted as the most efficient way to ‘tone up’.Two experienced conditioning coaches decided it was time to open a new type of facility. A multi use facility, which would bridge the gap between the traditional health club and an advanced training facility, similar to that seen in professional sport. Edge has been specifically designed to offer the latest in fitness and performance training in a single facility which would provide guidance, convenience, and an intimate atmosphere dedicated to introducing clients to new, more efficient methods of exercise in order to keep them engaged in their workout regimens, whether training for health, image or sports.”Our goal is simple; to provide an intimate atmosphere that would introduce all types of individuals to what we feel is a ‘better way to exercise and train for results’ whether you are exercising for fat loss, well-being or athletic performance. We want our clients to be ‘entertained with fitness’ in a manner that keeps them involved in fitness and sports, and continue to live an active lifestyle, well into their adult lives. A clean and convenient facility with the professional guidance that allows members to progress as they improve their fitness levels, thus keeping them involved with the clubs staff and programs. Our goal is more than just creating a new member; it’s to create a new lifestyle through our philosophies of exercising, nutrition, and taking care of their bodies as part of our facilities and programs.”
